For the first time ever, a tropical forest will grow before our very eyes. From the first shoots to the blossoming of giant trees, from the canopy to the development of hidden links between plants and animals, no less than seven centuries will pass before our eyes. For years, Luc Jacquet has been filming nature, moving and inspiring viewers with unique and fascinating stories. His encounter with botanist Francis Hallé gave rise to this heritage film about the last great primary forests of the tropics, combining storytelling, poetry and visual magic. ?Once Upon a Forest' offers an exceptional immersion into this wild world that has remained in its original state, in perfect balance, where every organism ? from the smallest to the largest ? is connected to all the others and plays an essential role.
